Loving my Birthday!

So yeah, I had my “20th” Birthday last Monday and I gotta say it was by far my happiest one! Haha.. dunno why but God seems to answer most, if not all, my prayers & wishes!

Here’s my presents list:

1. Lots of my wanted list are crossed off. My girlfriend gave me the coolest iPod docking station, my friend gave me a real warm and nice jacket, some gave me really good books, someone gave me the newest Planet Shakers DVD, and my oikos gave me a fishing kit, toolbox, and a sawing machine! WHEEEE.. I’ve never had so much presents in my life before, honestly. Not even when I was a small kid! So thank you to all these dearest friends!!
2. I always wanted to see the Hillsong Conference since years ago. This year I was so determined to go but there’s a site visit with my workplace in July so I had to cancel my plan. But by His goodness, the site visit was cancelled (all the sudden!) and someone special offered me to pay for my tickets to Sydney + ticket to Hillsong conference! It’s so greattt.. I can finally see the place where I was born! hahaha.. so without hestitation I bought a ticket to fly on 5 July to 13 July. It’s two weeks to go!! yayyyyy
3. Last but not least. Before I was considering to either go to Indo in Dec or Sydney this July. But with that blessing to go to Sydney came up, I decided to spend my saving on Indo trip.. basically my family are planning to go to Bali together for Christmas & New Year.. would be nice. Then, right on my birthday.. Jetstar are having a sale for Perth – Jakarta route! I got a one way ticket to Jakarta for less than A$200! WOW! I haven’t bought the ticket back yet, but even without the Sale.. going through to Singapore then back to Perth would only cost me another A$300 max. So that’s a real cheap return ticket to Indo!! I’ve told my mom and she was so happy and is arranging for our trip to Bali. yayyy!

God is so good indeed. I believe this is my blessing for being less selfish the last few months. Sometimes I thought about the money I gave to someone or for donation etc.. It’s not so much but it’s something I improved on.. sometimes I almost regretted and wish I had spend it on myself. But the bible was right.. Luke 6:38 says: “give and you shall receive”.. and that promised, although makes no sense, is true and I am a witness to it!

Again, thanks for all who became God’s blessing for me. I believe you all will receive more, too!

Have a Bubly Weekend

It’s finally coming! The Buble concert that I have always wanted to see is finally coming to Perth this week and I’m gonna see him on his last performance in WA this Sunday. Wooo!

So I’ll be sitting about the third row from the front.. but sadly on the side. But that’s alright, it’s a pretty close distance to the stage.

Anyway, it’s been cold and rainy these few days.. haven’t got the chance to go fishing. But I’m happy because my g/f has already given me an early birthday present! I was looking at an iPod dock when I was with her in Myer yesterday when she asked me if I want it for birthday. She might not have another chance to go and buy one + she might pick the wrong one, so she bought it straightaway with me.

It’s June!

Back again from Karratha. How I’m glad to finally eat Chinese/Japanese food again, LOL.. although I went to Hippocreek last Sunday for a 0.5kg Steak Hunters Asaghai.. yummy but in my opinion is just OK, nothing to die for.

Anyway, it’s June! I’m kinda glad when it gets to this month.. it means:

1. It’s half-way through the year
2. It’s winter. Time to wear those new jackets/sweater
3. End financial year is closing in. Lots of SALE and tax refund coming soon.
4. Increasing salary.. tee hee
5. My Birthday!!!!

So it is.. although I am not usually that excited with birthday, I am this year because the night before my birthday I’ll be seeing Michael Buble concert, one of the concerts I’ve been waiting to see.

The wiseman says, show as much what you wanted to your friends when it gets to your birthday.. that will give them the idea of what to get you.. ahem.. so, although maybe one or two (maybe none!) will buy me a birthday present.. I’m still gonna put my wishlist here. Some are expensive, some are affordable

• Vox AC30 CC 2×12 Combo Amp. I have the guitar, I have the pedals, all I need is the amplifier to make my life complete! It ranges from $1000 (2nd hand) to $1799 (RRP).
• Nintendo Wii. Something that I wanted to buy ever since last Christmas.. but every time I am there commited to buy, the item wasn’t there and finally the cash was spent on something else. :T It’s at the moment $388 in Australia.
• Line 6 DL 4 – Delay Modeler Guitar Fx. Maybe the last guitar pedal I really wanted to have. Been trying looking for a cheapo 2nd hand one, but always missed it. It ranges from $250 (2nd hand) to $370 (brand new in ebay).
• Fishing Gears. I’m picking up this new hobby hehe.. just bought the rod & reel but haven’t got anything else yet. Maybe some lures or scoop net to get me started.
• iPod Docking Station. Don’t know which one I exactly want.. maybe something that I can use as a PC speaker as well? Maybe alarm/radio function? Dunno.. It’s just something I’ve been eyeing for.
• Power Tools! I love power tools.. building stuff such as my pedalboard was lots of fun! One thing I really wanted to have is a saw that can cut a perfect straight line. Cos’ when I did mine with a handsaw.. it ended up terrible! Other than that, I wouldn’t mind a workbench table.

Argh.. enough of those. I assume these are prayers to God, who knows He might answer all of them Meanwhile, there’s a lot of exciting things happening in upcoming months and I am looking forward to it. I surely plan to celebrate my birthday this year (after having done so for the past 3-4 yrs maybe?), hopefully I will.
