I might’ve lost it.

I can recall clearly, it was last Wednesday.. I was listening to it as I was walking back home.. Then, a phone call came in, I had to pop my headphone off my ear and answer it. At that time my iPod was still in my jacket’s pocket.

A plumber that I booked was in front of my house. Okay, I met him and led him straight into my house. He explained to me about my leaking problem. Wrote me a quote, then I led him out the door.

I didn’t check for my iPod at all.

I went to grab some food from yesterday, heat it up, ate it in front of TV. Then I grabbed my jacket, went out, bought some KFC for my oikos. I didn’t check for my iPod in the jacket at that time. Got home, met my oikos, and waited for Candra. Candra came, ate our dinner and oikos finished at 9ish. Then they went home.

I prepared my books for studying, which I did until 4am. I went to sleep afterwards. I did not check my iPod.

The next day, Thursday, I went to uni at 11am, finished and went straight for late night shopping. I did not use my iPod during those time, neither did I check for it.

Went home and I started cleaning up my room and do some ironing until 4.30am. Then, I started packing up a bit for my camp on Friday.. Realized my iPod isn’t anywhere around, I thought I left it in my bag, which I left in my girlfriend’s house, so I relaxed, she’ll bring it tomorrow and I’ll have it by then. The earphone however, was in my house at that time. I went to sleep without worrying about my iPod too much.

Friday morning came, my girlfriend came and brought my bag. To my surprise, it wasn’t there! I didn’t have much time as I have to go for camp but I was sure I did bring it home and hadn’t brought it out again. So I left.

Came back Saturday night.. I looked all over the house and couldn’t find it. Sunday morning came, I looked all over the house, still couldn’t find it.

Had I throw it to the bin? I’m pretty sure I’m not that stupid to throw something heavy and chuncy to the bin. All I threw away was paper. But I went to the recycling bin outside the house anyway . It seems that my trashes had been thrown away.

Had someone stole it? I could never know if someone really did.

Had I accidentally dropped it somewhere? I would’ve hear the sound.

I don’t know where my iPod is. I ignored it for 1 day and the next day I couldn’t find it.

It felt terrible. I saved my money for that iPod. I waited one or two whole year before I could afford one. And know, I don’t even know if I lost it, or what happened to it. It made me felt so terrible. If I knew someone really did stole, if I have been robbed, if it got broken, I would probably wouldn’t feel as terrible, at least I know what happened to it.

But not in this case..

I could only try to give thanks to God. I believe His blessings are greater than a piece of an iPod. Maybe He’s preparing a better replacement. Maybe He tried to teach me to give more care to my belongings. Maybe He wants to show me that iPod is not that precious.

But I still prayed that atleast He would let me know what happened to the iPod.

Where are you my iPod Video 80GB? I have all the cases, earphones and connector, but not the iPod. Although to this very moment, I still hope that I would find it someday.
